Hadrian ruled Rome from 117-138 CE. He was the adopted son of Trajan and took power when he died. He was a great general and was smart. He was not looking for more lands to conquer but instead how to protect what Rome already had. He made a wall that was 73 miles long across the entire country. This wall was called Hadrian's Wall. At every mile of the wall, there was a guard tower that could hold up to 60 guards. He also had a building called The Pantheon, a temple dedicated to the Gods. Over the two decades he was in power, Rome accomplished many architectural achievements. Hadrian died at age 62.
